After much debate, the Los Angeles Planning Commission approved a proposal for what would be the first high-rise building in Downtown’s Fashion District.
The 33-story residential tower at 222 East 7th Street, dubbed 7th & Maple, now needs the final stamp of approval from City Council, Curbed reported.
Jointly developed project from Newport Beach-based Realm Group and Urban Offerings would have 452 residential units — 50 of which will be for very low income residents — and 13,655 square feet of commercial space.
